2021 FREE STATE SENIOR OPEN AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY & HANDICAP LIMIT:
Open to any senior male amateur who is a full member of a Golf Club affiliated to a Union recognised by the S.A.G.A, and who at the time of submitting this entry shall have a handicap index of 7.1 or less. Entrants must be 50 years or older on the 9th of January 2021. The field will be limited to 108 players.
Will to be subject to agreement and implementation of SA Government Regulations / Directions, GolfRSA Good Golf Practice Guidelines and the host facility’s Risk Mitigation Plan (RMP) and a Tournament Risk Mitigation Procedure (TRMP). All players will be required to comply with the club’s entry/access conditions. The player must then register at the Union registration area where screening will be done. The Union is obligated to keep records of all players participating in amateur events.
All entrants in the top 50 (fifty) of the GolfRSA Men’s Senior Order of Merit, as at the date of closing of the entries for this Tournament, as well as Senior and Super Senior IPT 2019 players, provided they comply with the entry criteria. In addition, a further 15 (Fifteen) exemptions will be granted to members of The Free State Golf Union, at the Union’s discretion. These entries are subject to the minimum entry conditions and requirements. The balance of entries will be taken from entries that have been received, who are not otherwise exempt, on the basis that the lowest handicap indexes will be accepted first.
FORM OF PLAY:
The competition will be played over 36 holes stroke play. 18 Holes will be played Saturday 9th January 2021 and the final 18 on the morning of the 10th January 2021. Groups will play in three balls with 10 minute intervals.

On no account will the entry fee be refunded unless a player withdraws prior to the closing date. All withdrawals must be in writing and sent to email@example.com.

No driven carts may be used by players under the age of 60, unless a doctor’s certificate is produced. Super Seniors are permitted to drive in carts. Availability of Caddies: Please indicate on Entry Form if a caddie is required.
Soft spikes only. Only golf specific pants or short pants, shirts, socks and shoes will be permitted.
DECISIONS & DISPUTES:
Decisions and disputes of any kind will be dealt with by the Tournament Committee appointed by the Free State Golf Union. In the event of a tie – a sudden death playoff hole no 18 will be played repetitively until a winner emerges.
Distance Measuring Devices will be allowed provided only direct distance function is used. Slow play rule will apply. Players not present at the prize-giving will forfeit any prizes. No online entries.
